Religious Writings:

Greek Spider has decided to take a detour and present a writing of a holy father of the free Greek nation.  The  writing of Saint Kosmas O Aitolos  is an indication of the support the Greek Orthodox church gave to the revival of the Greek nation.

The Value of Education. - St Kosmas O Aitolos

"It is better my friend to have a Greek school in your land then to have springs and rivers, as springs and rivers quell the thirst of the body school however irrigates the soul. If your child educates themselves they will become a true human being, being civilized they will become useful to their nation.

This is the reason why you should build Greek schools. Schools that will educate the young,  illuminating and brightening their scholarly minds.  Just as the sun shines on the earth in clear fair weather and the eyes see far and wide, in the same manner the mind can see a  future that is good or bad.  By looking into the future these young educated minds will be able to guard themselves against all that is bad and sinful.  School opens the doors to the church, as school brings intellect to its people."
